You could do something like this in a calculated field:
IF RIGHT([String],2) = "_b" THEN

Thanks your answer works but I'm trying to make result lowecase and split but the client name. I get the right result but it duplicated the client name (see screendump),- any idea why (I'm new to SQL) - Is there a cleaner way to do this ?

LOWER([Client Name]) + SPLIT([Client Name], '.', 1)
I don't entirely understand what you're trying to do. Can you give me some examples of what you have to begin with and what you're trying to change them to?
