# Measure by Total Average

Hi There

I am trying to calculate an additional column "index" which should be calculated as LTV by product / Grand Total Avg. of the LTV (all products combined) .

For eg. index for A should be 34.82/94.47

Tried using the LOD but not getting desired result :

SUM([LTV])/AVG({ FIXED [Product]:SUM(LTV)})

Thanks

Your answer was very helpful. I wanted to know how can this LOD calculation be also used if the measure is already an aggregated value . For eg. instead of using  LTV as a sum , I am using a formula for calculating LTV=sum([Lifetime Value To Date])/COUNTD([Customer ID (Client)]).

Now if I use the formula:

Index: [Average LTV]/MIN({ FIXED :(AVG({ FIXED [Product],DATETRUNC('month',[Order Date]):([Average LTV])}))})

this does not give me desired result as expected. Attached workbook with additional data source and my result in tab2

Am I doing anything incorrect?
