Want to Create Top 10 Set on a Combined Measure from 2 Data Sources

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a Top 10 Set on a calculated Field. Calculated Field is an addition of two measures from 2 different data sources.

When I'm going to the option of creating the set based on this Calculated Field the Calculated Field is not showing up.

When I remove the measure from the secondary data source then it's working fine.

Any Idea how I can make it work?

Can you attach a packaged workbook?

I would have loved to but it's just way to integrated with sensitive data. I'll try to strip it off and send it across but not quite sure to what extent I can do that.

Sets are created @ Dimensions not Measures

Can you explain your case here ? May be there is an alternative approach  is available

Thanks,

Ritesh- Sounds more like top 10 based on the combined measure (so top 10 rank), not a set.

I think Sankha said Set only there & there is a Top option with Set as well .

@Sankha,

If you just want Top 10 with a combined field then you can make use of RANK function as well

RANK( SUM([Sample - Superstore].[Sales])+sum([Sales]))

Now filter Top 10 @ Rank

Are you doing data blending with two data sources. If that's the case then that field won't be available in Top N Set filter because Blending comes below the Set filters in Query pipeline.
