    Grouping rows

    Alessandro Passera

      Hi everyone,

      I have a table containing the sum of the Orders for different countries.

      I would like to group some countries for spoken language, so that their number of Orders are added up.

      For example, I would like to create only one row for all the english speakers countries present in the rows (England, Ireland, USA...)

      How can this be done in Tableau?

      Thanks in advance!

      Alessandro

            Good morning

            there are more than one way to group in Tableau

            using groups

            (Note I  used superstore US data - on States)

            right click the country pill and the create group

            and create you croups by selecting then Group

            then you can rename the group

            using sets

            select create set

            create teh set

            with set you have in/out groups -

            or you could set up a simple excel sheet with country name and language and join it on country with your data set
