could you please share the .twbx?
Unfortunately it's all protected data -- student names and scores on Reading assessments. I can't share it. If there's no way to resolve this without sharing it, I'll just have to figure something else out. Have you seen this behavior before? Are there typical culprits for this kind of thing?

Berrett- It's difficult to say without looking at the workbook, however adding dimensions to "Context" in filters might work. If not attach a packaged workbook with anonymized data - Anonymize your Tableau Package Data for Sharing.
One possible solution is to copy Current NPR to a new Measure, drag it to Rows as the first pill, make it discrete, sort and then hide the column. This will make a default dynamic filter. If all of your columns are not unique you can create a unique identifier by concatenating all dimensions then hide the column. This isn't the prettiest solution but it might work for you.
