    height-for-age table?

    Maite Fernandez Huergo

Hello all! I'm kinda new here.. I had some tables/graphs i made while working in PwC, so all my creations are registered under my previous work account Hopefully I'll make new ones!

So, what i did then is quite different of what I do now. I have data from 3 different cities concerning height and weight of children. If there's any specialist in nutrition here, you might be helpful! My question is: Is it possible to change the x and y lines in a graph? I want these tables:

With these tables, I could add the data I have, but it needs to be in those tables (one for girls, another for boy..they are not the same). Any idea on how I could do this? I have height, weight, *** and age.

I hope I explained myself correctly..

      Thanks for the help!

          Hello Maite,

Do you have any sample data to share for us to see what you are working with?  Ideally in a packaged workbook.

            Hi Patrick, thanks for answering.

So, I don't have a packaged workbook because I'm completly lost and don't even know where to start. I'll try to be more clear.

I need 2 different curves, one for boys and another for girls (Growth curves). I have the data to make them in excel. These curves are universal, representing how tall should boys and girls be according to their age. I need to create these 2 curves in tableau first, and then add all the second data I have (height of girls and height of boys).

I have all the data, but don't know how to do it. I guess I first need to create the growth curves.

I want it to do it with tableau because i want a programme that allows me to select/remove data in the same graph. For instance, I have 1000 girls, but they come from different cities and different villages. I would like to have in a same graph all these girls, but been able to select what village or city I want to show (all of them, X village, Y village, etc etc.)

If you see the image attached, that's what i want to try to do. Have the curves and then add the data. All those pink points represent girls from different villages (30 girls belong to one village, 30 girls to another village, etc etc). So i would like to be able to see in the graph all the girls, but able to select what i want to show as well.

Please let me know if it's clear. If so, is it possible to use tableau for this kind of analysis?

            Thank you again

Here's a link of what I did.. I just have to add the curve in the background and data from september so I can add it as a filter as well. Look at sheet 4 and dasboard

              Hope it's usefull!!https://public.tableau.com/views/STUNTINGDATA2017/Dashboard1?:embed=y&:display_count=yes&publish=yes
