Is there a way to backup and restore the Tableau Postgres database server and databases manually without using the tabadmin backup command ?
We are backing up all non-database data (extracts, config-files, logs, etc.) with our enterprise backup-solution which allows incremental backup every night.
Our goal is to add the postgres database objects also in to that nightly backup using scripts. The tabadmin backup command doesn't offer seperated backups of the database and the general data.
I don't know about the restore part, but the standalone backup could be done in multiple means, one of which I know is this:
tabadmin set service.backup.pgonly true - setting this to true, tells the backup command to only backup the database.
