Tableau Reader- Using on Remote PC vs Desktop - Maximizing Performance?

    Ben Perlman

I have a workbook connected to a sql server with about 90m+ rows.  This workbook will be distributed to about 100 people (that will be using Tableau reader 2018) every day and we are trying to figure out the best way to go about this.  We can either install the 64 bit reader on all of their PCs, or have all users access the workbook via a remote PC.  Have any of you tried variations of this? I'm trying to run some tests on our remote pc and it seems to be quite slow to open the workbook (almost 10 mins??) vs 1-2 mins on my PC.  I wonder if this will be affected by # of users accessing the workbook at the same time, or other variables? How can I learn more about this?
