At our site, we have a user who created a live data source using Custom SQL against a database (Hadoop). The user then extracted the data source and subsequently published the Data Source to Tableau Server. The user in question as since lost track of the Tableau workbook in which the original Custom SQL query was composed. Now the user is asking how to recover the custom query from Tableau Server, the extracted Data Source published there. I am not sure this is possible, but I throw the question out to our community: Is there a way to capture Custom SQL from an Extracted Data Source published on Tableau Server? If you have any knowledge or experience with this, please share. Thank you.
There is possibility to look through the archived version of workbook. I suggest there is the same with data source. So you have to check the condition of elder copies existing
Trust this helps.
