I have a Data ("Excel") in that i have 3 columns like "Service provider","Premium/Normal","Amount INR".
Here i want show only Premium service Provider and Normal Service provider data. We need to eliminate rest rows data and visualize only premium and Normal.
By filtering the column we can eliminate. But Still when i refresh data, it will refresh all data including filtered data also. So that might be cause performance issue.
So before importing data into Tableau we need to filter out the original data ?
If yes can any provide the logic for extracting required columns in Excel ?
Harsha- Use a data source filter. This way Tableau filters out the members at data source level. Filter Data from Your Data Source.
Hope this helps.
