I know the above concept only one thing while exporting the live connection report i am getting outdated data
I want to apply a filter along with refresh=yes
let me know if any thing you know on this
I tried this and works well.
tabcmd export "Book2/Sheet1?Year(Order%20Date)=2018?:refresh=yes" --pdf -f "E:\test.pdf"
Remove the .pdf in your view
tabcmd export "Reportname/Dashboardname.pdf?
tabcmd export "Reportname/Dashboardname?category=abc?:refresh=yes" --pdf -f "C:\Path\Temp\.pdf"
I tried the same as well still i am getting the blank
Have you applied category in filter. first apply and publish to server and try tabcmd.
may be your dashboard not added any filters
tabcmd export "ReportName\dashboardname?Category=abc?:refresh=yes" -f "C"\Dev\Temp.pdf"
the above command i am exporting i am still getting blank
I hope this is correct syntax
Its not correct,check the link
you should use forward slash and no colon
tabcmd export "workbook/sheet?param1=value1,value2¶m2=value" --pdf -f "C:\Tableau_Workbooks\Weekly-Reports.pdf"
tabcmd get "http://servername/views/workbook/sheet?param1=value1,value2¶m2=value" -f "C:\Tableau_Workbooks\Weekly-Reports.pdf"
I am not talking about the export , pdf export is working until unless i use ?:refresh=yes
I need the latest data in live connection with your command eventhough data updates i will get the old data
every time when i export the PDF i need refresh the live data and then export
Hope this clears the confusion
Try this it will work with live connection:
tabcmd export -t Sales “Sales/Sales_Analysis?:refresh=yes” –pdf -f “C:\Tableau_Workbooks\Weekly-Reports”
use -t option
