    Tableau Command addfiletoextract crashes Tableau?

    Mark Pesce

I am trying to add a text (CSV) file to a published data source on my server and it seems to crash Tableau. I am able to do this with another data source in the same project and the files I'm adding are in same location as the failing file. Both data sources have similar permissions. I have similar coding and yet one succeeds and the other fails?

Here is the error that I get:

Here is the syntax that I'm using in my batch file (some syntax changed to generic names):

"c:\program files\tableau\Tableau 2018.1\bin\tableau" addfiletoextract --server http://tableau.pfxne.com --username user --password pwd --project "Sales" --datasource datasource --file "d:\datasources\textfile.csv"
