    Create a "new" version of Sankey Chart

      I've been working with several kinds of Sankey charts in the past weeks, some are polygonical and some are lineal (to call it somehow).

       

      Now I've been asked to create a different kind of Sankey that I've never seen before (maybe technically is not even a Sankey chart). It looks like this:

      In that case, there is only "bar" that corresponds to the clusters sizes. However, instead of going from one bar to the next one and changing colors accordingly, the lines that leave the first bar go through the whole chart and its behavior depends on the average of that particular cluster for each of the variables included.

       

      Have anyone ever done something similar? To me it's like a line chart, just that instead of moving that line through time, it moves from one particular variable to the next one.
