I guess you can use "join" instead of blend but struggling to understand what you want to achieve,
Could you please clarify your data set and it's structure, logic you want to connect two different sources, and illustrate your expectations with hand drawing?
I have two data sources
1. Exercise data that increases as people log their activity (Google Sheet)
2. A number of challenges (Phases 28) which remains static
I want to display the progress i.e. distance traveled through the challenges. The line should grow from start (Athens) to finish (Tokyo) following the ordered path I've set.
I guess I will need to link the data to be able to compare current distance to see what stage the challenge is at and what phases have been completed.
Think of it like RunKeeper, MapMyRun..etc
Please let me know if you need any further information.
Any chance that you can upgrade the version to 10.5?
no chance of updating to 10.5 as our local IT controls this.
You've pretty much done what I need.
However, I need this to be dynamic. i.e. as the recorded distances increases the report reflects this.
A bit like a flight tracker
I assume it would be back to my original question about dynamic filtering.
I managed to figure this out , doing something similar to the above.
What I mean by dynamic:-
Tableau only allows filtering on either a discrete number or range of numbers.
If the number was to change then you'd manually need to reapply the filter each time.
I created a calculated field based on the numbers and made an evaluation to True.
Then i can filter to always true, as the numbers change it will evaluate the formula and the filter becomes dynamic.
Best Regards & thanks for your help.
