I'm not sure I'm following what you're trying to do, but if you need help with pivoting your data, take a look at this blog post I recently wrote. It might push you in the right direction: 3 Ways to Pivot Data for Tableau - Ken Flerlage: Analytics Architecture, Strategy, & Visualization
When I said "Dashboard where you could filter", I meant a graph which would display the values of one or several panels based on the chosen filters.
Thanks for the useful link!
After some silence....here's more detail....
I have this data
It are solar panels of different makes and models for which we know the type (pink column: FLAT PLATE or VACUUM) which have different energy outputs (blue columns) depending on the climate (Zurich/Berlin/Madrid) and the operating temperatures (30/50/60 °C)
I want to build 3 versions of a tool where the user can compare panels based on a set of filters
The output is here with on the right the filters the users can select from as drop-downs
I think I have flattened my data correctly....But I'm a little stuck from here. Can anyone nudge me in the right direction?
