From the Tableau guidance;
- Select the axis you want to alert on.
- Click the Alert button in the toolbar.
- Choose the trigger condition and when to send it.
Hi Amyl ,
Yes you can send alerts .And there is another thing called subscription you need to go through subscriptions as well .
Because some times you need to workaround with the help it.

With Alerts, and Subscriptions, you cannot conditionally determine the recipients with the out-of-the-box Tableau Server / Online functionality. The best you could do is subscribe all the managers, and use a User Filter on the triggering viz so that it only exceeds the Alert threshold when their own territory is having an issue. You could accomplish this with Customized Views as well. This mechanism can be made somewhat cumbersome and even unfeasible for large numbers of people you've subscribed, as you have to maintain who is in what territory, or who is still at your company, who is new, etc.
An alternative is a third-party program I wrote a while back called VizAlerts. It is free and open source, though it is not officially supported by Tableau. It would allow you to build conditional alerts that dynamically send whatever dashboard(s) you want to anyone you like--even if they are not users in Tableau Server. We have a group you can ask questions of here on the community site as well: VizAlerts
