Data source security on tableau while sharing it to client

Hi,

I would like to know how can we hide the data source in tableau before sending it to the client. IS there a way to prevent client looking into any data. I want client to have only the dashboard view.

Please give the solution for both cases - Sharing the tableau on client server and Sharing the tableau desktop . How can be hide data sources in both cases

Hi Pallavi,

Here my inputs. You can share workbook with them and ask them to view using Tableau reader only.
You can also publish viz to Tab server or online and turn off workbook downloading.

In addtion to this you can also assign DB password.
