Thanks for the links...could you please provide me the exact solution for the below scenario:
“A client has a team of 200 sales people. Each salesperson, when they log into Tableau, must only be permitted to see their own data.”
“The sales persons are split into groups of about 30 with a dedicated sales manager who will have permissions to see their data.”
“In addition, 10 people in the organization will have unrestricted access to all sales rep data.
There are many approaches to this,it all depends on your organization and the business requirement,this cannot be generalized.
In the links i shared previously it is explained clearly.Since you have asked i am putting it briefly from my understanding.
- create 5 groups one global one with all 200 and remaining four with 30 each and grant permissions and use user level filters.Global group all the 10 users will have access and the remaining four groups the users will have as per the user filter.refer first link i shared.
- in second approach.use hierarchical filters and other methods like joins and where clause.refer second link that i shared.
