Not really. I mean you can somehow fit it to some P&L data, but in finance they usually go for a water fall chart to show change from previous year profit to current year profit.

Note: If I can deliver some good insight from a simple bar/line chart from the data then I'd always go for that instead of any custom fancy chart which looks good to see but tough to interpret its my personal opinion.
