Using a script to convert from .dss to .hyper

    Nicole Osorio

      Hi all,

I am quite new to Tableau. I just started learning this Monday.

Over the past few days, I've familiarized myself a lot on the program.

My question is, if I have studies with a file type, let's say, .dss which comes from using HEC-DSS, how should I go about in using a Java script developed by someone to go straight from .dss to .hyper?

More on HEC-DSS, it is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Hydrologic Engineering Center Data Storage System.

The first exercise I did was that I already have .csv files converted from .dss. I then used those studies in .csv to perform an inner join, create an extract, create another workbook to do a left join, and create that last extract.

This script is supposed to skip the need to convert to .csv and go straight from .dss files to .hyper.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
