Difference between previous month and current month values

Hello, I have a table that looks like this:
I have an aggregate amount and I am creating each row based on a dimension called  "group".
I created a calculated field to get amounts for the current month and previous month.

Is there a way to get a third column which has a percentage difference of current month from the previous month? I would ideally also like to understand how to put a green down arrow or a red up arrow.

Attached workbook.

Hi Sumedha,

You could do this in different ways, first way is using table calculations. By right clicking on sum(amount) you could add a table calculation such as % difference:

Then placing the items in the shelves like me would give you the % difference.

Alternatively, another option is to create a measure for current month, for previous month, and for the difference:

Then putting them in the view looks like this:

Thanks and please see the attached workbook.

see the attached

I filled the null values with 0 with this

then calculated the percent diff with this

it returns this

To add in arrows, maybe you could create a new worksheet and just have the difference in the view, then create the below calculation:

Change the marks card type to shape and brought in this new calculated field into colour and shape:

Then combine this worksheet with the other worksheet which has the current and previous month to get this:

Thanks and please see attached workbook.
