Filter off of max input in field

      Hello,

I am new to Tableau (using 2018.1) and I have a large database with health expenditure data that I want to visualize. I have the current dimensions: Country, Country Region, Country Income Group, Indicator, Year, Value. I want to show the values for these indicators for certain years, countries etc. However not every country reports on their indicators every year. I would like to show the "most recent" value even when the selected year is higher. For example: I choose 2015 to filter off of but if the last reported value was in 2013 I want to show that one in its place, but not showing all of the values for each year.

I would love to know if there was an easy way to calculate a filter?

      Thank you!
