Copied my workbook and now cannot change alias of headers

I have a wb that I am using for another project and I made a copy of it. Pointed it to the data source and now my calculations show edit copy when I right click and I cannot change the alias header. For example it will say %ProviderCell and I want it to say something else. I tried getting rid of that calculation but I cannot delete only rename. I created brand new calculation and the same thing happens where alias is missing. Or edit alias. I even tried a brand new worksheet and same thing. I must be missing something simple. I cannot imagine that people would have to create brand new wb's every time something changes. It seems like reinventing the wheel for no reason.
