If I understood well, that you need is load twice the data and do a left join with the table to get the Boss information:
By Reporting Manager of the Employee (First table) with the Employee code of the Boss (Second table)

Thanks. It worked.
I added the same sheet twice and using a left join i was able to identify all the reporting amnagers that were inactive.
It retained information from left table and gave information of reporting manager which included is employement status from right table.
the final table had both information about employee and his manager.
This can easily be done in excel. I am hoping tableau will give me some charts to analyse the information and give meaningful insights.
i am giving myself problems and then learning to use tableau by solving those.

I didn't notice that you can do a join with the same table without create a second data source.
And now that you show me sound very logic to not create a new data source =)
