The only way is to manually create the 4th parameter and manually enter all the values
There's no way Tableau can combine them automatically
If combining the parameters is not possible then is there any way to combine filters into one single filter?
Just create a calculated field which is [dimension1]+[dimension2]+[dimension3] and create your filter on that.
If I write a calculated field [dimension1]+[dimension2]+[dimension3] then the resultant set will be concatenation of all the 3 fields.
The below is my requirement:
for ex: filter 1=A filter 2= C filter 3= E
Then Final filter =A
I was responding to the OP Can I combine all the three and search by One single parameter so that it accepts values from Par 1,par 2 and Par 3.
The solution I suggested above allows you to combine all 3 fields together and search by one single filter that crosses all 3 dimensions, accepting filter values from all 3 dimensions.
It now reads that you are looking to separately filter [dimension1] by a, [dimension2] by c and [dimension3] by e- is this correct ? You can just do that with filters on each dimension.
Can we have a parameter created with drown down functionality and have a search box to enter the value for the selected parameter?
