Filtering the same column in Tableau

    simran singh

I have the following survey data:

      QuestionsAnswers
      UserIds
      Question1Category1U1
      Question1Category1U2
      Question1NullU3
      Question1Category2U1
      Question1Category3U4
      Question1Category3U5
      Question2NullU1
      Question2YesU2
      Question2YesU3
      Question2NoU4
      Question2NoU5

Question1 allows users to select multiple answers, Question2 is a simple Yes/No answer and some users have not selected any answer to a question so there are Nulls too.

The survey was originally in the wide format I reshaped it to this format.

I want to create a dashboard with a TreeMap for answers from Question1 and when I select any Category it should filter out how many users answered Yes/No to Question2 in that category.

So for example on a TreeMap if I select Category1 then the second graph should show the count as 1-Yes, 1-Null.

I have tried grouping different questions according to similarity etc but it doesn't give what I need.

      Any help?

      Thanks..
