Extracts - Remove Database source when Published?

    Ross Moffitt

If I have an extract created off of a live connection to a db such as DB2, Oracle, etc and then I want to publish it to the server - Is there a way to remove the data source connector and just have a standalone Tableau data extract? When publishing, even if I select Authentication>Refresh Not Enabled and NO to embedded credentials, it still shows the original data source under 'Connects to' on the data source tab of the workbook.  Is this possible?  Or is this there really for audit trail purposes?
