# 3 Measures on the same line graph, but only 2 different axes, is this possible?

So I have 3 different measures, let's say A, B, and Z.  A and B are pretty close together, and can be shown within the same axis.  Z is a much larger value, and while it has correlation to A and B, it can't be put on the same axis without skewing the graph completely, so it would need its own axis on the right.  So I have a column to show the values by date, but trying to get the three measures onto one line graph has been sort of rough, any ideas?  Thank you

You can create a dual axis graph

Like This?

You can use "Measure Values" to create the 2 lines with similar scale, and then add the 3rd measure as a dual axis.  I used bars for the 3rd measure, but you could easily make that a line as well.

Hope this helps!

Lawrence,

Yes, we can. Please see screen shot.

Blue and orange are sales1 and 2, which are small, between 5-20. Sales 3 are in grey, which are big, between 1000-2000.

Use measure value to include both sale1 and sale2. If you have more than 3 measure, for example, 10, then you can put 9 measures here, all using one scale. Sale3 use another scale, and then make dual axis.

Hope it helps.

So if you see the image below, I'm faced with a roadblock with using the "Measure Values" variable in the rows and just filtering for the two values I'm looking for.  If I try to click on "show me" and click on a multi-line option, it splits the graphs up.

Rather than use show me, just drag Measure Names onto the color shelf and you'll get 2 lines.

Then add your 3rd measure to rows and make it dual axis.

Thank you!! Not sure why that ended up working and my method gave me weird results, but it worked! After getting the measure values to both populate correctly, adding the dual axis for the third value worked just fine, thank you so much everyone.

Great!  Glad you were able to get it working.
