Hey Mark. Thanks for the heads up, we haven't seen the issue on dev with 10.5.3, and we are set to take the plunge over the w/e on prod. And we do use the ismemberof() as part of our row level security, but we don't use it in conjunction with contains(). So maybe we're ok? Do you have specifics of the bug?
Jeff, The Hyper bug will make those workbook (using Contains/ISMEMBEROF) render time slower than TDE. I struggle to understand how slow due to lacking of computing power on my test instance. Good luck for upgrade and do let me know how it went.
Hi Mark, where can I read more about this bug? is it documented somewhere?

Chan, You may have to ask Tableau Support for the bug details.
However I just wanted to share more recent updates: After we heard about this bug, we did more test - we tested at least 50 workbooks that have CONTAINS(), based on those additional test results, we actually did not see workbook render time perf issue due to CONTAINS(). For the 50 tested workbooks, we found only 2 slower while all the rest faster in Hyper.
