regexp word boundary \b doesn't work with Oracle

    For Peen Yoong

      Hey guys,

I'm facing this issue where \b (word boundary) regular expression doesn't work in regexp_match and varchar field in an Oracle table.

eg. REGEXP_MATCH([LOWCASED NOTES],'\btest\b') does not match when [LOWCASED NOTES]='I have a test in May'

Weird thing is it also doesn't work on an extract created from the Oracle table. But it works on a CSV.

What could be the problem? I've been facing this since v10.1 and now the problem still persisted in 2018.1
