Are you viewing Tableau workbooks in Server or Desktop? Tableau Desktop has the option to turn off automatic updates. Once Auto-update is off, Tableau will wait for a manual update from the user while her or she chooses filter and parameter options. Once the selections are made, turn Auto-update back on and Tableau will apply the filter selections all at once.
Hope that helps!
I assume you are referring to filter selections. If yes, you can add an option to apply the filter only after the selection has been made. See the screenshots below. You can do this both at worksheet or dashboard levels.
Hope this helps.
You can still do this directly in the dashboard. Depending on the Tableau desktop version, just look for the drop down arrow beside the Filter Field.
I have like 5 filters so I'd like to have an option that when I finish all my selection I can reload
Currently there is only the option to reload a filter one at a time.
OMG really.. well gonna try with the apply button
Jack's suggestion may work in the worksheet environment if you just interested in using this feature while developing the dashboard on your desktop. However, when you publish to the server, I'm not sure end users have access to pause and resume auto update button. In that case apply button will work best for tableau server end users and you may consider pause/resume auto update for desktop dashboard development.
I've just confirmed that Pause/Resume button is at the top left side of Tableau server. Try it to see if it is how you want your users to consume the data.
