Hi Tulu Sahoo ,
So instead of creating different filters ,create one filter but with multi-select option .
You have the freedom to choose different type of multi-select filtering but you can go for multi-values drop-down that will give you a better view .
Please attach twbx file in case I missed something .
I would use parameters to accomplish this rather than filters. Filters without anything chosen will keep the worksheet from showing anything. With a parameter a case statement can handle that lack of choice in other settings.
Hi Tim Dines ,
Yes i agree , however that's the reason why i requested Tulu Sahoo to attach the twbx file .Any thing that we are mentioning here is just a mere guess now .
And he has mentioned it "I want to add 5 wild card filters in tableau report, all different fields....ex: Roll no, Class_no, phone no etc... All will be empty "at first" and report should be empty. " - report should be empty .
Anyways you can always get a thing in many different ways in tableau .
Do a search in the forum for “Sandbox”. You will get some great insight the use of multiple parameters. I cannot post mine due to data privacy issues.
