Can I create a reference line for only one measure in a bar graph?

Hi,

I'm pretty new to Tableau and was wondering if there was a way to create a constant reference line to the farthest right panel (only the bars in purple)? I tried adding a reference line by panel but it still shows up for all panels.

Thanks for all your help.

No workbook, so create some Criteria with IF statement to get Avg values for those bars only. try using Line and Dual axis approach

can you speak more on how to do that? not sure how to create those calculated fields in direct reference to creating individual reference lines

Can you please attach your .twbx file.

Attached my workbook. I can't use the formula shown above with City because my values at the bottom axis are all dates which may overlap. I only want one category to have a reference line since it is the only one with a KPI target.

Unfortunately with my data I don't have a unique City sort of field. My bottom axis labels are all dates which overlap with other fields.

Here you go.

Step 1: Dragged Sum(End of Day Exchanges) tho the columns shelf and select dual axis by right clicking on that field.

Step 2:  Dragged reference line and selected sum(End of day exchanges) in the value and Average.

Hi Navya,

This is super close. Is there a way to make the reference line at a constant 200?

Reference line for only one measure at constant 200.

Step 1: Create a calculated field with constant 200.

step 2: Drag it to Details marks card.

3) Drag Reference and select calculated field under value.

Thanks,

Navya
