Hoping a brilliant Tableau guru can help me out here, and I apologize I havent attached a workbook because the one Im working with here has tons of confidential information from my company in it. I need to be able to take these different chronicle IDs and calculate the total life of each chronicle ID using the timestamps which are in the same column. Please see below for example: for this chronicle ID I need to calculate the datediff between each status.. I have also included the calculation I am using right now that is not coming up with the correct value. For instance, why does the first row come back with a value when that should be the starting point? How can I get this to start at the first line and stop calculating where the chronicle ID ends?
Update:I answered my own question by messing with this some more! Because it was calculating as a table calc, it was using the next record which belonged to a different chronicle ID. I changed the table calc settings to compute using Specific Dimensions and then to restart for each chronicle ID. Worked like a charm!
