# Diverging Chart To Compare 2 different year sales in percent

Hi All,

I am trying to make a diverging chart to compare sales of 2011 & 2012 in percentage by regions wise.

I have created to separate calculations.

Calculations

1. 2011 sales > {FIXED  YEAR([Order Date])=2011 , [Region]: SUM([Sales])} (reversed the axis of 2011 to make diverging chart)

2. 2012 sales > {FIXED  YEAR([Order Date])=2012 , [Region]: SUM([Sales])}

then i added quick table calculations percent of total

but result for both the years is coming wrong.

Hi Divya,

Create 2011 and 2012 sales as

2011

if YEAR([Order Date])=2011 then ([Sales]) END

2012

if YEAR([Order Date])=2012 then ([Sales]) END

And add percent of total then it will come correctly.

Thanks

Hi

Yes, We can do this.

2011

SUM({FIXED [Region]: SUM(case year([Order Date]) when 2011 then ([Sales]) END)})

2012

SUM({FIXED [Region]: SUM(case year([Order Date]) when 2012 then ([Sales]) END)})

Refer attached

Thanks
