It depends on your objectives. One way of doing this is to use a parameter instead of filter. The only downside is that parameters are not multi-selectable. However, if you are happy with a single store selection then this will work for you.
Create parameter [Select Store]
Create calculated field [Spend $]
ZN(IF [Select Store] = [Store] THEN [Spend] END)
Use [Spend $] and [Select Store] in your view.
