Calculated field that will filter to parameter date

I need some help creating a calculated field that will only show the parameter date selected and filter the rest. I have a date field on the column shelf that is continuous. Under the marks card I have a budget (Actuals) measure that is using a table calculation. It is 'Computing Using' the date on the column shelf and it is 'Relative to' previous (month). I'm hoping for the calculated field not to effect the table calculations. I'm not sure if a calculated field is the way to go, any help solving my question will be greatly appreciated. Thanks you in advance!

You need a level of detail calculation to do the table calculation, but ignore the date filter.

Get rid of your parameter. Bring date to filter.

Double click your SUM(Actuals) in the Marks card and you will get the formula for your table calculation. Highlight it and copy it.

Create a calculated field: { FIXED : [Branch] : (paste your table calculation here) }

Now drag this calculated field to text. Not Actuals.

I'm getting the following error when I created the calculated field:

Expected '}' following the expression.

The : after [Branch] is where the error occurs.

{ FIXED: [Branch]:(ZN(SUM([Actuals])) - LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])), -1)) / ABS(LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])), -1))}

{ FIXED [Branch]:(ZN(SUM([Actuals])) - LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])), -1)) / ABS(LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])),

• 4. Re: Calculated field that will filter to parameter date

{ FIXED [Branch]:(ZN(SUM([Actuals])) - LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])), -1)) / ABS(LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Actuals])), -1))}

I now get the following error:

Level of detail expression cannot contain table calculations or the ATTR functions .

Yes...I didn't write it my Previous mail just let you experience it. You need to rewrite your calc.
