# How to figure out what factor contributes most to a trending?

Hello,Everyone!I am new to tableau,and I would appreciate it very much if you can give me some help.

This is a screenshot of my data.

X=(A-B-C-D-E-F-D+H+I+J-K-L)/A，so the 13 factors(A,B,C,,,M) all affect X.

From 2012 to 2016,these factors changed,so X also changed.And we can see,X was declining gradually.

Now,I want to figure out what was the most prominent factor that contributed to the declining of X.

Any idea?

I attached the source data.

Hi 晓兵 汤,

One way to think about it (call it 'naive PCA')

is to Rank your 'factors' by a meaningful Measure.

It could be as simple as the Sum of Differences (% points)

of the respective factors impact, giving the first Year as a baseline.

Please find the attached with just that.

Hope it could help.

Yours,

Yuri

PS  One would weight by a Denominator (Sum of values in A) later.
