Automatic Windows Firewall Settings are incorrectly set during Tableau Server Distributed High Availability installation?

    Alexander Chrusciel

      Setup:

Primary Node: Virtual Machine, Windows Server 2016

Worker Node 1: Physical Machine, Windows Server 2016, Windows Firewall active

Worker Node 2: Physical Machine, Windows Server 2016, Windows Firewall active

Network: Forward Proxy enabled, all 3 servers run in their own network segment, load balancer activated (https -> http)

      Tableau Server Version: 10.5.2

      Error description:

During the "relocation" process of the repository from the primary node to the worker nodes an error occurs and the repository never actually gets relocated.

      Solution:

Manually add a firewall rule to allow incoming connections to the program "...Tableau\Tableau Server\10.5\pgsql\bin\postgres.exe" in the local domain.

@Tableau Team: Please advise, whether this procedure is correct.

      Thank you and best regards,

      Alexander
