This should do it for you
DATEDIFF('day', // calculate the gap in days
today(), // todays date
dateadd('quarter',1,DATETRUNC('quarter',today()))) // end of quarter
<15 // less than X
THEN "Red" // show Red when less than 15 days to end of quarter
ELSE "Yellow" // else show Yellow
Thanks Chris. But how do I use this calculated field to change the color of my pie?
That depends on your data, are you meaning the colour of a slice ?
Can you supply some sample data ?
It sounds like you have the date as the slice, so putting this calculated field on Color might be the answer, but that would depend on exactly what you're after.
Please find the sample twbx for your reference. However, I had to create a sample data and I am stuck with another problem that I am trying to solve here.
I have created few calculated fields and they are giving different results even though I am using the same columns. Not sure why. All my calculated fields start with 1.
Once you receive it, I will provide you with the other issues I am facing with the data.

I don't have 10.1 (I can download it, but I'm currently on a mobile connection), so I hope this helps:
In the above image I've created the [EOQ flag] calculated field to do the calculation.
EOQ = dateadd('day',-1,dateadd('quarter',1,DATETRUNC('quarter',[Current phase close date])))
This could also be integrated into the flag calculation as well.
Here, I've taken a copy of your donut and put the [EOQ flag] field on Color.
I'm not sure this is exactly what you're after, but if you need more help please reply and I can download 10.1 and send you the workbook.
