I use Tableau Refreshextract on the command line to update my extracts and then I redirect the screen output to a text file that I send to myself. The success/failure is easy to detemine from the resulting text file. Would that work for you here?
The script should be automated. I need to know the "ERRORLEVEL" of the tableau extract refresh do that I would be able to include it in the script.
Did you manage to find any solution?
I thought of using %ERRORLEVEL% if it was set to 1 after an error. Now, what I have observed is strange. If I run a command directly from command prompt and it fails for some reason, %ERRORLEVEL% is set to 1 but when same tabcmd command when run from batch script, %ERRORLEVEL% shows 0. I am not sure what I am missing. Have you tried to use the error level variable?
