You can get that executable query by using performance recording feature as well ,Please try to implement that .
This will also give you the performance metrics of your dashboard .
Does the performance recording gives the result for only events or complete query ? I did try that once but i felt it only gave me the event query.
On your data source tab, click Data in the main menu and Convert to Custom SQL. You can copy and paste the code from there.
This will bring all the fields/data from all the tables that are not being used. I want to limit the query to my visualization.
then the performance recorder method is the way to go... if the query to too long for the field, you will have to have the DBA run a SQL trace (unless you have access to do that yourself)
I found the best way to get the sql query,
After the report is created, start performance --> refresh your data source --> stop performance. You will get complete sql code.
