Hi Sulai man,
You want to show the table as it is in tableau ,for that you need to drag dimension (country ) in rows. And your measures in measure ,and put that measure in column .
But here you can see in measure value its sum for year1 and year2 both but go to your data source and check the values in data source it will be same as it is in the sheet table.
Thank You. But how to get rid of the Abc's
To get rid of the ABC's, I create a field called Filler and give it a value of 0. I place this field on the view and then either hide it or set the color the same as my background color.
I did create the field with Value 0. I moved it to Tooltip , the Abc's went off and 0 Came. I am not sure how to get rid of 0. can u show a screenshot of how you do it
Pls provide an example of your worksheet.
i still have aggregation. in the example you are taking one measure per dimension. Have same dimension twice. you ll encounter the same issue i have now.
Have you considered using INDEX() ?
I created this calc:
I made it my the first element on the Rows, followed by whatever dimensions I wanted (or none at all)
I dropped Measure Names on Columns and Measure Values on Text as was suggested above.
I also turned OFF Aggregate Measures under Analysis. What I got was something like this (no dimensions in this case, just measures):
To test if this was an accurate view, I created a second worksheet and dropped Number of Records on it:
Upper display using Index shows 3,141 unique rows, and there are 3,141 records. Bingo?
Remember: you can HIDE the Index calc to make it disappear. Hope this helps! --Michael
I've attached a sample using some of Tableau's regional data.
Regional_MH.twbx 90.8 KB
can u attach the example twbx file in this thread
I've attached a sample above. It's in 10.5-- let me know if you need it in another format.
In my sample, I left "Index" visible so you could see that every record was accounted for, but I did not include any dimensions (just measures).
Remember: my secret to this view was turning off Aggregation. This can be found under the Analysis bar
on the index field in your row self right click and uncheck "Show header" option
Thank You all for answering my Queries..
