I am connecting to a SQL Stored Procedure that I cannot change. The SP has data from several different states but it has a state parameter built in that will only allow me to select one at a time. I want to be able to combine all five states and have a filter available on the dashboard if the end user wants to filter by state, but I need to be able to get a total from all states. Since this is a SP I cannot Union the data. Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds for this? I'm playing around with blending but that doesn't seem to do what I want. I think I really need to do something similar to a union, just not sure how to do that with a SP.
Thanks in advance,
You can do one at a time and after each time export the resulting Tableau data source into a csv. Then union the csv's. But that is not a very good repeatable sustainable process.
