I was working with a couple of data sources on Tableau Desktop which were created with custom SQLs and extracted for use. The custom SQLs were fetching data from Amazon Redshift.
I then published the dashboard along with the Data Sources to Tableau Online and scheduled refreshes for the Extracts at 4:00am Daily. The permission to give Refresh access(which embeds the credentials) was also given for all data sources.
They did not get refreshed and I encountered and error as follows:
I figured, this might be arising since the IP Addresses were not whitelisted. I got the IPs whitelisted on AWS and tried refreshing the extracts again on Tableau Online but i failed again.
Does anyone know why this is happening and how i can fix it?
One of the common reasons for Tableau Online refreshes to fail is when the Tableau Bridge is on a different dirve than the reposityory repository. I am including a link to the Tableau Bridge FAQ.
