Just recreate that sheet and don't drag c.date-month as you can use the same date field which you have used for year by right clicking on it and select month.Remove year field also from column shelf as you are giving parameter option there to select.. Now drag your measures and from Show Me palette select cross tab. Now you won't get that grey out option of YTD Total & YTD Growth.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks & Regards
I am not sure this solves the problem for me, because I have those pills you are suggesting to remove interconnected with other items in the workbook for Dahsboard functionality purposes. This reply won't allow me to attach a file, so I am going to create a new post with an updated workbook to demonstrate how the Dahboard looks like and how this crosstab falls into the picture.
Shin - thanks, I looked at it more carefully and your suggestions worked. However, I got the results I needed before I implemented all the settings you suggested under "Edit table calculations." Let me explain:
The first calculation (the Copy), if I have it computing "Table down" it gives me the desired results. If I try to set it as you suggest to 'Specific Dimensions' and check both, the "Year of Date" is not available under "Restarting every."
The same applies to YoY calculation. "Table down" takes care of that and the results seem to be correct.
It seems that "Table down" is simpler. Any reason why I should not keep it simpler?
You can not use simple one, because you calculation is requiring different layers of calculations.
The first cal is along table won or month , but second calc is across table or year.
You can not set simple table calc setting in this case. You need multiple layers.
But why is then "Year of Date" not available under 'restarting every"? I am following your instructions to the detail, but I am not getting the same settings options.
If you follow exactly, you should get same.
Be very careful on table calculation.\
And attach packaged workbook again with failure as last option.
