The error message is coming from SAP and is fundamentally a limitation of that database. As Alexander said, the order of the records in your custom SQL would be ignored anyway. Tableau usually aggregates your data with a group by which does not maintain order in SQL. Tableau lets you choose a sort order in the UI if you want.
