SQL - Same DB different Tables

      hi There

Im new to Tableau - just signed up.

Im writing a number of dashboards for clients. These range from Operational (Job related stuff) and Financial (sales performance, client turnover, etc).

There are many tables in the DB Im working with.

I have a scenario where I need to show different workbooks from the same database but from different tables, which have no natural joins.

For example, I need to show total weight & volume by origin (freight movements)

Then, I need another workbook to show total sales by client. Sales transactions are not always attached to the Freight movement.

How can I have 2 data sources from the same DB which are not related?
