    Creating a zoom filter using boolean formula

    Lydia Raines

      Hi, I'm trying to create a map where the initial view is an overview (in my case, the total number of refugees in each country) and when the user clicks on a country, it zooms in to show specific sites and the number of refugees at each site.

      I'm using a dual-axis map with blends to make the overview "blend1" and the zoom-in view "blend2". Then I made a boolean formula like this:

      If ATTR({FIXED:COUNTD(Country)})=1 THEN

          [MarkTypeBlendFilter]=2

      ELSE

          [MarkTypeBlendFilter]=1

      END

      Ideally, if the country is selected, the map should zoom into the country and the sites within the country should appear, but when I add the zoom to filters and click on a country, it zooms in but it doesn't show the sites. Additionally, I made the action so that clearing the selection removes the filter, but it doesn't zoom back out.

      Can anyone help?

      I've attached my workbook.

      The sheet is "Refugee Zoom Maps"
