Hi Radha. Yes - that can be done.
Create these 2 calculated fields:
On your worksheet, add [DREF], [FirstLetter], and [First2Letters] as filters. Right-click the dimensions and select "Show filter..."
When the filter cards appear on the right side of the window, make sure [FirstLetter] appears at the top, [First2Letters] appears in the middle, and [DREF] appears last. In the options for each of the filter cards, select "Only Relevant Values".
When your users select the first letter from the [FirstLetter] filter, the [First2Letters] and [DREF] filters will update appropriately. Then when the users select the first 2 letters from [First2Letters], the [DREF] filter will update to show only the appropriate values.
Hope this makes sense.
ok thanks will try and update
Hi - you can use "Only Relevant values" option checked in filters. I have attached a workbook, see if that is what you were looking for.
PS - Not the best way as it effects the performance but unless you have no better way.
